GOOGLE GEO-LOCATE GAME TARGETS GUN OWNERS

Are you a gun owner?  How would you like it if someone tagged your home on the web as a "dangerous gun location"?

Well, leave it to the innovation of Google.  A new PC application game from Google Play now lets any person to tag your home on a map open to public view.  Troubling to say the least.

To use the Google application called "Gun Geo Marker" an anonymous person can insert labels on your location that indicate you have pistols, rifles and if you are a Conceal Carry permit holder.

As mentioned this is completely viewable online.  What is most concerning is the anonymity of those tagging locations.  And, that it is subjective.  Does this person know for a fact you have a particular firearm and/or permit?

This beckons back months ago as a New York newspaper posted a map of all known gun owners.  The New York situation used public records.  This Google application is a game that let's anyone tag what they "think" you have.

What was a local situation for some gun owners, now gives alarm to all gun owners in America.

Not only is this a incursion on privacy, but it is assumptive and without fact.  Plus, this potentially puts a household under threat of theft or public attack of a gun owners family.
