Barack Obama lays out 23 Executive Orders directed to control various aspects of gun rights and related measures.
Obama's Executive Orders target a wide assortment of directives to in his words, '...stem the tide of gun violence.' Of the orders targeting gun rights include a restriction on gun magazine capacity to 10 bullets, invoking a ban on "assault style" rifles, and various federal investigations into gun safety. Of concern is the broadening of information allowed to law enforcement to review current and previous background checks to see if a person is worthy of gun possession. There are several other measures that dig into privacy issues including breech of confidentiality between mental health professionals and patients. As well as directives which include language regarding guns into certain parts of the "Affordable Care Act" (Obamacare).
