For the third month in a row, Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has trumped the fundraising efforts of the Obama campaign.
Reports from July fundraising efforts show the Romney campaign raised $101.3 million. The Obama campaign trailed raising $75 million. Romney's campaign also reports approximately $185.9 million cash on hand.
Of the additional contributor information provided, the percent contributing under $250 was significant at 94.13% of overall contributions. A total of 600,627 donations were received from contributors sending $250 or less. Funds were received from all 50 states including the District of Columbia.
The number of small contributors is a strong indication of grassroots support for Mitt Romney. These statistics push back against Obama's campaign fundraising for big donors.
