The Associated Press has confirmed the first night speakers for the Republican National Committee's Convention in Tampa. One of the named speakers has been a much talked about possibility for the Republican Vice-Presidential nomination.
Former Secretary of State and rumored candidate for Vice-President, Condoleezza Rice, as a formality is now off of Mitt Romney's VP short list. Condi will have a speaking role on the first night of the RNC Convention on Monday, August 27. Her first night role takes her out of the speaking position reserved for the VP on the second or third night.
The Associated Press confirmed other first night speakers. Including: SC Governor Nikki Haley, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, Senator John McCain, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
The RNC Convention will be held in Tampa, Florida, August 27-30.
