George Allen delivered a spirited primary victory speech Tuesday evening in Richmond. Flanked by U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and his wife, Susan, Allen addressed his supporters and the media at the Westin Hotel in Richmond. A room filled with upbeat supporters cheered the official nominee. Those in attendance were enthusiastic with how the campaign had presented Allen to the voters.
A question in Virginia conservative's minds may be, is George Allen ready to win and take his campaign full bore towards Democrat Tim Kaine? The short answer is yes. Let me qualify that. George Allen's campaign team and organization has been well exercised through the primary season. His communications team is very effective demonstrating the ability to rapidly respond through electronic means to stay ahead of the issue of the day. He has a true statewide campaign structure with dedicated staff that have already had a test run through the primary. George has also had three full scale debates to prime him for one-on-one debates with Kaine. All in all, Allen and his campaign have passed the initial test. Now it's time to step it up for a win in November.
