Former Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain indicated many GOP "All-stars" may soon tour with presumed nominee, Mitt Romney. Herman Cain stated on several news shows there is planning between the former Republican candidates to hold joint events in key electoral states along side of Mitt Romney.
Speculation by Fox News' Shawn Hannity indicated the likes of Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Tim Pawlenty, Michelle Bachmann and others may be part of the plan. There was no mention of Ron Paul or Sarah Palin.
Cain indicated he had recently met with Mitt Romney to on-board his support. Herman indicated that Romney was very open to many principles and ideas that Cain wanted to advance. Including a simplified tax plan.
The Republican "unity" tour as it was termed would be a key initiative for Mitt Romney's campaign. Holding several prominent events with former challengers would go a long way for Romney to consolidate support of the Republican base. Most importantly, he would be looking to reassure conservatives that he will advance key measures for debt reduction, energy policy, health care reform and reduction of policies restraining the economy.
Cain indicated the "tour" would be a summer initiative leading to the Republican convention in Tampa.
