PPP POLL INDICATES STRENGTH FOR ALLEN

A poll produced by Public Policy Polling (PPP), indicates Virginia voters prefer George Allen as their nominee over other rival Republicans.  The PPP poll   announced George Allen has a commanding lead over the other three GOP challengers.  Virginia voters polled indicated 68% of them would select George Allen as their choice to compete for the United Senate seat versus Democrat Tim Kaine.

Governor Allen's strong connection with voters downplays his GOP challengers.  With the June 12 Republican primary just weeks away, challengers E.W. Jackson, Jamie Radtke and Bob Marshall, are running out of time to connect with Virginians.  The GOP challengers could only garner the following in the PPP poll, including:  8% Delegate Bob Marshall, 3% for tea party backed Jamie Radtke and 2% for E. W. Jackson.  20% of the voters remained undecided.

Former Governor George Allen continues a strong move towards the nomination.  His solid performance in the first of three debates positions Allen for a dominant showing.  Allen has worked to secure the Republican nomination while keeping his eye on defeating former Governor and DNC Chair Tim Kaine in November.
