New readers of The American Maverick: The American Maverick Blog (TAM), predicts the results of all major Republican Presidential primaries and caucuses. It is called the TAM Predictor. The Predictor has successfully selected the top two winners from the Iowa caucus to the South Carolina primary.
Here's how the TAM Predictor works: Actual hard data is used from the latest polls released within the last 36 hours preceding the primary/caucus. An aggregate percentage is then determined for each candidate. This is comparable to the well respected Real Clear Politics (RCP) data used by networks and news services like Fox, The Washington Times, CBS and many more. Here's the difference, the TAM only uses the most recent data from polling within the last 36 hours. This captures the closing trends as the undecided likely voter finally makes their decision. Real Clear Politics data becomes stale closer to the election since they use data from the last 5 days to determine the percentages. The TAM Predictor uses the same, but more recent data.
The TAM Predictor for the Florida Republican primary will be released live on the blog Sunday night and will publish to our subscribers on Monday morning.
